On Nov 12-13, 2013, world leaders in the field of energy security and policy will gather in Israel for the first annual Alternative Fuels Summit, hosted by the Prime Minister of Israel and in cooperation with Keren Hayesod – United Israel Appeal and Bloomberg.
This two-day event will begin with a gala and award ceremony, in which the $1M Eric and Sheila Samson Prime Minister’s Prize for Innovation in Alternative Fuels will be granted to a pioneer researcher in the field.
Israel has set an ambitious goal: Reduce its use of oil for transportation by 60 percent in less than 20 years. The Bloomberg Fuel Choices Summit will explore the challenges, opportunities and implications of this effort and will examine Israel’s role as a center for research and innovation in fuel choices.
