The Israel Trade Commission together with the AICC recently hosted the Israel Trade Awards in Sydney. The event was held at NSW Government Trade and Investment and was host to both Mr Shmuel Ben-Shmuel, Israel’s Ambassador-designate to Australia on his first formal address in Sydney and Mr Bruce Gosper, Chief Executive Officer of Austrade. Both Shmuel and Bruce shared their appreciation for the strong ties between the two economies and their vision for future collaboration and opportunities to further establish and strengthen the relationship.
Fourteen Israeli companies and their local partners received 2013 Australia-Israel Trade Awards in recognition of their achievements for contributing to bi-lateral trade growth between the two countries. Kim Jacobs, President of the NSW Chamber also received an award from the Israel Trade Commission for his lifetime contribution to Israel-Australia relations.
Some of the winners of the Israel Trade Awards were Sodastream, Telstra, Target, Woolworths, Enzymotec, Caesarstone Australia, and Magnolia Jewellery, amongst several others.
