The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and the Israel Trade Commission will be running an Australian Trade delegation to Israel from Wednesday 3rd December – Tuesday 9th December 2014 on the topic of Sustainability and Cleantech to coincide with Israel’s prestigious Israel Energy Week. Governments, academia, international institutions and industry around the world are searching to find new and innovative solutions to meet the world’s sustainability challenges. This attention is no longer targeting a specific nation but looked upon as a global connecting thread. A common vision across all stakeholders is essential in our journey for co-existence with the environment. Israel continues to focus on developing innovative technologies in both the water and the sustainable energy sectors based on a foundation of academic excellence, its high-tech expertise and entrepreneurial spirit. Israel is strategically placed to share solutions for the world’s increasing demands with its experience confronting water shortages and desertification and its understanding of the importance of energy independence. This Mission enables delegates to share experiences with their Israeli counterparts with the opportunity for mutual collaboration. The Mission also coincides with Israel Energy Week 2014 which brings together Israeli and international business executives, politicians, policy makers, and leading researchers to foster debate, enhance collaboration and share insights on the key issues facing the world’s energy and sustainability systems.
