New Basin Plan could be a disaster for agriculture

As reported by the AWA, Farmers have threatened to withdraw their support for the federal government’s $12.9 billion water reforms criticizing the focus on buybacks and claiming the plan for the Murray Darling Basin is skewed towards the environment. The complaint comes after the National Irrigators Council said its members were losing patience over delays in the delivery of promised irrigation infrastructure upgrades.
