From 6 January 2011, visitors to Jerusalem can enjoy night time tours of the City of David, every Thursday evening. Artistic lighting highlights the antiquities, with harp music in the King’s Garden enhancing the experience.
The evening experience begin with a night-time overlook of the city at the City of David’s Hatzofeh lookout point. From this vantage point, visitors can begin to appreciate the unique location of the Biblical City of David in relationship to Jerusalem’s Old City walls. An impressive 3D movie of Jerusalem’s millennia of history is followed by a night-time guided tour of the City of David site, accompanied by stunning lighting displays that highlight the newest archaeological discoveries from the Biblical Period
