We invite you to hear Professor Weihs talk about his exciting activities in the field of advanced robotics, Space, and Defence and to learn more from both Professors’ experiences in helping commercialize products that originated as academic IP into flourishing companies.
Professor Weihs is one of an elite group of Distinguished Professors at the Technion. He has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Israel Space Agency since 1987 and has been Chairman of the Israel National Committee for Space Research since 2005.
He is a foreign member of the US National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He has been on the boards of companies such as Israel Aircraft Industries, Beit Shemesh Engines, Israel Limnological and Oceanographic Research Co. and others.
Professor O’Kane is also Executive Chairman of Mary O’Kane & Associates Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based company that advises governments, universities and the private sector on innovation, research, education and development.
She is also Chair of the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy, Chair of the Development Gateway and the Development Gateway International, Chair of the CRC for Spatial Information, and a director of PSMA Ltd, Business Events Sydney, and the Australian Business Foundation.
