Applications are now open for the Tel Aviv Landing Pad for Australian innovators to experience one of the best startup eco-systems in the world!
The Tel Aviv Landing Pad will be located at innovation hub SOSA (South of Salame). Described as the ‘town square for the innovation industry’, SOSA was founded by a community of innovation stakeholders, including some of the most prominent angel and venture capital investors in Israel.
New Landing Pad Manager Omri Wislizki has joined the Tel Aviv Austrade Post team and will help to lead this project to enable Australian startups, entrepreneurs, researchers, corporates and other innovation eco-system stake holders, to engage in this rich ecosystem of innovation.
Omri‘s extensive experience in the Israeli eco-system includes working for local start-ups as well as a technology scout for Korean Conglomerate LG. Together with delivery partner, SOSA, Omri will work closely with the Australian startups take their companies to the next level.
Israel is known around the world as the ‘Start-up Nation’ with the most start-ups per capita. According to the GeekTime Annual 2015 Report, in 2015 there were 1,400 new start-ups, 373 companies who raised a total amount of $3.58 Billion, and 69 companies who were sold for a total of $5.41 billion.
