Israel is recognised as a world leader in Cyber Security defence capabilities and a delegation from Australia and New Zealand explored some of the latest cutting edge developments in a visit that coincided with the annual Cyber Week in Israel conference in the last week of June.
The delegation was led by Mr Paul Ash, Director of New Zealand’s National Cyber Policy Office who sits in the Prime Minister’s Office, and comprised of over 30 delegates from government, the private sector and academia. The delegation was organised by our office together with the Innovation Circle.
In addition to the activities at CyberWeek, the delegation made a number of site visits to leading organisations in the Israeli cyber security ecosystem, including CyberSpark, Israeli National Cyber Bureau, Israeli CERT, CheckPoint and other Israeli Start-Ups with technology in Cyber Security.
The visit underlined how much Australia and New Zealand can benefit from mutual Cyber Security innovation and partnerships with Israel, especially in an age where critical infrastructures are becoming rapidly digitalised.
