Bloomberg have published their 2018 Health-Efficiency Index, which draws on various data including the cost and value of medical treatment amongst countries ‘with average lifespans of at least 70 years, GDP per-capita exceeding $5,000 and a minimum population of 5 million’.
Israel is ranked higher in the index than the USA, Australia, Germany, Japan, the UK and all Scandinavian nations.
With a life expectancy of 82 years and a low relative cost of healthcare, Israel’s technological strength and start-up ingenuity is setting the nation apart as a healthcare leader.
