Israel at evokeAG 2026

On 16 February 2026, the Israel Trade Commission hosted a dedicated side event for evokeAG 2026 in Melbourne, bringing together Australian industry leaders and a delegation of Israeli AgTech companies for an afternoon of discussion, networking and collaboration. The event was held at KPMG and graciously hosted by Josh Geelan, Global Lead for ESG at KPMG.

The session opened with remarks from Ohad Blumberg, Israel’s Trade Commissioner in Australia, and William Lyall, Trade Officer and AgTech Lead at the Israel Trade Commission. They highlighted the depth of Israel’s AgTech ecosystem and the vast potential for Israeli innovation to assist Australia’s agricultural landscape.

Investing in AgTech for a Brighter Future

The first panel focused on capital, scale and long-term impact. Moderated by Josh Geelan, the discussion explored how investors and founders can work together to accelerate adoption and deliver measurable outcomes across the food and agriculture value chain.

The panel featured Jacob Murphy, CEO of PAN Group, Ben Krasnostein, Managing Partner at Kilara Capital, and Sagi Sheinkman, CEO and Co-founder of Cooling Crops. Together, they examined the investment landscape for AgTech, the importance of commercial validation in real farm environments, and the role of ESG considerations in shaping capital allocation decisions. Speakers emphasised that strong partnerships between growers, investors and technology providers are essential to the conversation around AgTech investment, and that the time to act is now.

The Impact of AgTech Innovation on Australian Agriculture

The second panel turned to practical implementation and on the ground results specific to the Austraian market. The discussion centred on how emerging technologies are being deployed across Australia and what is required to drive broader adoption.

This discussion brought together Rhys Pirie, Program Manager R&D Investment Attraction and Business Development at Meat and Livestock Australia, Clayton Hiskins, Region Manager Australia at BeeHero, Omri Rahamim, Australia and APAC General Manager at Fieldin, and Duncan Ferguson, Head of Venture Growth and Investment at Farmers2Founders. The panel, which was moderated by Rhys highlighted the tangible benefits of precision agriculture, pollination technology and farm data platforms.

Speakers discussed the importance of local partnerships and building trust over time with Australians, a clear return on investment for growers, and the need to tailor solutions to Australian conditions. The exchange demonstrated how Israeli companies are working closely with Australian stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable outcomes.

Israeli Companies at evokeAG 2026

The Israeli delegation was active throughout evokeAG 2026, meeting growers, corporates, researchers and investors across the conference.

The delegation included Cooling Crops, led by Sagi Sheinkman, which develops technology to reduce crop heat stress and improve yield resilience in high temperature conditions. BeeHero provides precision pollination solutions, using data and monitoring technology to optimise hive performance and improve crop outcomes. Fieldin delivers farm operations management software that enables growers to track, analyse and optimise field activities in real time. CropX specialises in soil sensing and agronomic data analytics, helping growers improve irrigation efficiency, soil health and input management through data driven decision making.

Together, these companies reflect key strengths of Israel’s AgTech ecosystem, spanning climate resilience, pollination technology, digital farm management and soil intelligence. Their presence at evokeAG demonstrated strong alignment with Australian priorities around productivity, sustainability and water management, and led to a number of productive conversations with potential partners and customers.
