Israeli Minister of Finance Mr. Yair Lapid and his Palestinian counterpart Mr. Shukri Bishara had decided today to renew the economic cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The two Ministers discussed applying trust building measures this afternoon while conversing in the Israeli Ministry of Finance in Jerusalem.
The meeting, coordinated with the Israeli Prime Minister, resulted in the setting of a timetable to further promote the economic cooperation between the entities from here on and until the end of 2013, while future meetings will attempt to encourage mutual investments and trade.
Minister Yair Lapid said: “Economic cooperation will contribute to Israel and the Palestinian Authority. We will continue to further strengthen economic ties and promote financial matters significant to both sides.”
