Israel’s arid climate and the need to be self reliant has created fertile grounds for technological innovation, fueled by the Israeli government’s investment and the highly skilled workforce generated by national service.
It isn’t going unnoticed either, with Startup Nation Central Stating that $171m in equity investment went into Israeli agritech in 2017.
