Developer-centric application security testing firm Checkmarx has joined the IAI-led cyber companies consortium (IC3) to support the delivery of advanced cyber defence capabilities to governments across the globe.
IC3 was created in 2016 by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in collaboration with likeminded companies including cyber security firms Check Point, Cognyte, CyberArk, XM Cyber, Mellanox and Cyber X.
Esti Peshin, general manager cyber division at IAI welcomed Checkmarx to the group, noting that Checkmarx’s developer-centric application security testing better enables IC3 to create holistic cyber security solutions.
“IAI welcomes Checkmarx to the IC3 consortium. Together we are responsible for offering large-scale, end-to-end cyber security solutions to nations worldwide. We are excited to work with Checkmarx, leaders in application security, to offer the most comprehensive solution possible. Our work together is critical to ensuring the development of cyber security solutions around the world, continuing our quest for a safer, cyber secure, world,” Peshin said.
Likewise, Checkmarx chief executive Emmanuel Benzaquen welcomed the opportunity to use the company’s Application Security Platform to support government cyber defence capabilities across the globe.
“Joining the consortium is a natural step for Checkmarx given our ultimate mission, which is to help every organisation, whether corporate, institutional or governmental – to make their applications and source code more secure. We’re honoured to accept IAI’s invitation to join the consortium, which for us is a show of confidence in our mission and technology. According to Maty Siman, founder and chief technology officer at Checkmarx, the collaboration between consortium members will lead to stronger cyber outcomes for both the companies and clients.
