Australians Invest in Israeli Travel Startup Securing $8M in Funding

Israeli startup Joyned, which offers a unique travel booking service for groups, has secured $8 million in a Series A funding round for business development and growth, and expansion into international markets.

Joyned’s platform lets groups of users in different locations access the same online booking forms so that they can collaboratively plan a trip together.

The service is AI-based, allowing it to use previous trips and communication between the group members on the website in order to tailor deals and future journeys.

The funding was led by Australian private equity and financial services company Reach Markets, alongside two other investment firms from Australia and a Singaporean tourism and hospitality fund.

The startup has already started its global expansion by signing agreements with international travel brands, including OYO Vacation Homes and TravelUp.

“Together with our partners, we are making a significant difference to the global hospitality industry, which is expected to roll over $4.6 trillion by the end of the year,” said Joyned CEO Jonathan Abraham.

“The power of our solution is evidenced by the agreements we have signed with the world’s leading travel brands and the impact the solution has had on their businesses. We are proud of the support we received from leading funds joining our journey.”
