Israeli Codefresh Acquired by Australia’s Octopus Deploy for $40-50 million

The Israeli software startup, which has raised a total of $54 million, is used by enterprises to run Argo and scaling and deploying to Kubernetes

Codefresh has raised a total of $54 million to date from the likes of Red Dot Capital Partners, Viola Ventures, Hillsven Capital, Vertex Ventures, and Microsoft’s investment arm M12.

The Israeli company, founded in 2014 by Oleg Verhovsky, Dan Garfield and Raziel Tabib, is an Argo maintainer and leader in Kubernetes CD, GitOps, and CI. Tabib and Garfield will join Octpus’s leadership team.

According to Octopus Deploy, the combined business positions it as one of the largest privately held companies in the DevOps ecosystem. Focused exclusively on CD (Continuous Delivery), the combined company now has more than 4,000 customers, over 270 employees, and over $60 million in annual revenue.

As an active contributor and maintainer of Argo, Codefresh is used by enterprises to run Argo and scaling and deploying to Kubernetes.

“We are eager to bring the power of Codefresh’s Continuous Integration and cloud-native GitOps – based on Argo – to Octopus Deploy,” said Raziel Tabib, founder and CEO of Codefresh. “With Codefresh and Octopus, we will elevate the capabilities available to software teams and drive innovation in Continuous Delivery.”

Paul Stovell, founder and CEO of Octopus Deploy, added: “We’re adding Codefresh’s considerable technology to empower software teams to deploy freely. It represents a big investment in open source and the Argo project that Codefresh maintains and scales with its enterprise offering.”
