Israeli Gaming | Industry Landscape

A new comprehensive market report tracking the exponential growth of Israel’s interactive entertainment sector has highlighted the country’s robust standing as a global powerhouse in gaming technology, mobile creation, and infrastructure innovation.

The report, encapsulated in the definitive graphic published by seed-stage venture capital firm Remagine Ventures for Q4 2025, maps out 143 key companies across the ecosystem. The findings underscore how Israel has evolved far beyond its traditional roots in mobile gaming to become a critical player in artificial intelligence (AI) dev tools, web3, and high-value mergers and acquisitions (M&As).

1. Game Creation: Mobile Dominance Meets Diverse Formats

The largest sector within the landscape belongs to Game Creation (studios), which continues to be anchored by Israel’s historic dominance in the mobile market.

  • Mobile Giants: Heavyweight studios such as Moon Active, Crazy Labs, and Tripledot Studios continue to anchor this sector, alongside agile creators like Bengigi and Gliding Deer.
  • Real-Money Gaming (RMG): This specialised vertical remains a highly lucrative sub-sector of the local ecosystem, featuring prominent players like GTH Software and Parana.
  • Emerging Verticals: The landscape highlights diversification into newer frontiers, showcasing dedicated clusters for:
  • 1. Indie & Creative Studios
  • 2. PC / Console Development
  • 3. AR/VR / Immersive Media
  • 4. Web3 / Blockchain Gaming (featuring projects like StarkWare and Tanton)

2. Creation Tools: The Generative AI Influx

One of the most notable shifts captured in the Q4 2025 landscape is the maturity of Creation Tools, driven heavily by Israel’s world-class AI talent. The tools sector is broken down into three distinct pillars:

Dev Tools & Middleware

Focusing on performance and optimisation, this sub-sector includes platform efficiency tools like GameBoost, Kooply, and EyeClick.

Game Engines

Highlighting local alternatives and technology layers competing with or augmenting global giants, led by platforms like Overwolf and Diversion.

AI-Based Creation Tools

A rapidly expanding segment dedicated to automated content generation and intelligent NPCs. Startups such as Playo (which generates playable 3D games), Kinetix, Ludo, and Sloyd are heavily featured, solidifying Israel’s position as a hub for generative AI gaming infrastructure.

3. Infrastructure, Monetisation, and Analytics

Israel’s gaming ecosystem has long been praised for its commercial sophistication. The Infrastructure & Monetisation segment reveals why the region remains a preferred hub for adtech and backend architecture.

  • Adtech & User Acquisition: Featuring 20 major startups focusing on monetisation and engagement tools, including market fixtures like Anzu, Appcharge, and Persona.ly.
  • Analytics & Services: Data-driven companies like AppsFlyer, Singular, Pecan, and Keewano provide the vital measurement and attribution services that power global gaming economies.

4. Capital, Exits, and Consolidation

The right-hand column provides a stark reminder of the massive financial liquidity generated by the local ecosystem. Over the last few years, the market has witnessed major multi-billion-dollar exits and strategic consolidations.

Domestic gaming giant Playtika remains the most aggressive local consolidator, snapping up high-performing studios and toolsets to defend its global market position. Meanwhile, international interest remains fiercely competitive, with global conglomerates like Zynga, Take-Two Interactive, and Lego’s parent company KIRKBI acquiring key pieces of Israeli innovation.

Looking Forward

As the gaming market faces stricter user privacy rules and macroeconomic shifts, the data indicates that Israeli founders are successfully pivoting. By embedding artificial intelligence into game creation workflows and mastering next-generation monetisation pipelines, the region is well-positioned to maintain its status as an essential pillar of the global interactive entertainment industry.
